Al Andalus Expreso, glamorous rails.

THIS IS A TRAIN FROM ANOTHER ERA. SEVILLE, JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA, CARMONA, CORDOBA, RONDA, ANTEQUERA AND GRANADA, SEEN FROM A UNIQUE TRAIN. TO TRAVEL IN THE AL ANDALUS EXPRESS IS TO GO BACK IN TIME AS WE SLOWLY ADVANCE THROUGH THE INTERIOR OF A MAGICAL ANDALUCIA.

Al Andalus Expreso. The Al Andalus Express is a palace on wheels. Inside it contains refinements and services from another era. The passenger is transported to the Romantic time of the nineteenth century travellers, surrounded by a subtle veil of pomposity and distinction. This is a quiet travel through the heart of Andalusia. Through its culture and its art, its monuments, its gastronomy, its fiestas and traditions, its diverse and bewitching scenery.
The train comprises fourteen cars, built in 1929 and completely restored in the 80's. The carriages make up and elegant luxury hotel. Its decoration, ambience and service remind us of those trains that used to cross continents, such as the mythical Orient Express, so often described in the literature and cinema of the last century.

Al Andalus Expreso. This magnificent train visits, over seven days, some of the most important cities of the South of Spain: from Seville to Granada, through Córdoba, Ronda, Jerez, Antequera or Carmona. A each stop the traveller will discover many treasures: the Giralda in Seville, the Alhambra in Granada, the Mosque in Córdoba, the Tajo (gorge) of Ronda, the Jerez Equestrian School, the churches of Antequera or the archaeological remains of Carmona. All joined by a long iron path that slowly meanders through valleys, mountains and plains.
In addition to the monuments, museums and interesting corners of each place, the traveller can indulge in the best Andalusian gastronomy with a selection of the best restaurants of our region. Each stop on the way is a delight for the senses.

Al Andalus Expreso. The cars of Al Andalus.

Medina Azahara.
Built by Naval in Bilbao in 1930 as a restaurant car, which it was during many years, it was naturally joined to the best trains. In 1985 it was rebuilt and restored with all the best materials, to begin an even more aristocratic voyage as recreational car.

Alhambra.
This is a restaurant car built in 1929 in Charantaises, (France), which came to Spain in 1941. Rebuilt in 1985 for the Al Andalus, in 1988, the interior was again restored.

Gibralfaro.
Created in Great Britain by the company Metropolitan in 1929, it was brought to Spain shortly after. In 1985 and in 1988 it underwent the same transformations as the Alhambra car.

Al Andalus Expreso.Giralda.
This is an old restaurant car of Wagons-Lits, built in France in 1928 for luxury trains. It arrived in Spain in 1941 and was rebuilt in 1985 for the Al Andalus Express. Its décor, interior and exterior, has been greatly modified.

Sleeping Cars.
The Al Andalus has five sleeping cars, all of them luxury cars, built in France in 1929, and used by the King of England on his travels from Calais to the Cóte d'Azur. Their Belle Epoque décor was enriched by many comforts that were added during the most recent modifications. Among them, the "Club Cabins" in each car, which contain showers.
